Job Description

Exus is seeking a Site Manager to support the Head of Construction and other members of the construction team on projects from groundbreaking to project turnover.  The Site Manager is the primary point of contact with Project Owner’s Site Representatives, Contractor’s and the Renewable Energy Supplier’s project management teams and field representatives. The Site Manager routinely meets with the Head of Construction while performing the duties associated with this position. The Site Manager must continuously work toward successful project completion by maintaining the project schedule, properly supervising field activities, coordinating the Contractors’ and Renewable Energy Supplier’s field efforts in a manner consistent with the intent of the safety parameters, contract specifications, contractual obligations, and quality standards appropriate to the project.

Please note: this role will be site based in Pennsylvania.

Travel Requirements: Travel expenses and Per Diem will be reimbursed in accordance with the current EXUS policies.

Key Responsibilities: All tasks below are done under the direction of the OM

  • Day to day supervision of EXUS Field Office staff and 3rd party consultants
  • Promoting positive relationships with Landowners and Governing Authorities
  • Accurate completion of the EXUS Construction Daily Report
  • Review and verification for accuracy, the Contractor & Renewable Energy Suppliers’ Daily Reports
  • Day to day supervision of Contractors’ and Renewable Energy Suppliers’ efforts
  • Superior knowledge of all Contract requirements, obligations, Exhibits, and the Scope of Work
  • Coordinating and arranging for the inspection of Contractor’s and Renewable Energy Supplier’s work
  • Continuous review of the Project Schedule in concert with the Director of Construction
  • Assisting in the development of work arounds and recovery planning when project metrics change
  • Monitoring all drawings and/or specification changes.  Prompt review of all change order requests along with recommendations
  • Implementing the EXUS Project Safety Program
  • Expediting all project close-out items
  • The Site Manager must take the lead in quickly resolving all field issues.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years in a position of responsibility with a construction or engineering firm or Renewable Energy OEM.
  • Bachelor’s in civil or electrical engineering, or construction management.
  • Prior experience with total responsibility for projects from groundbreaking to project turnover.
  • Sense of self-awareness and urgency; willing to be a self-starter and process driven.
  • Team player able to leverage across disciplines and departments.
  • Demonstrated success and measurable track record in prior positions.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail focus.
  • Ability to manage simultaneous complex activities in a high-growth, start-up environment under tight deadlines.
  • Computer literate with Word, Excel, Primavera, and select Project Management software.
